The Template Workflow Today
Until now, creating or customizing Adbot templates has required working outside the platform. Designers build templates in external tools, export the specifications, and configure them in Adbot through a technical setup process. It works, but it creates a dependency on specialized design resources and slows down the iteration cycle.
When a marketing manager wants to adjust a text position, change an animation timing, or try a different layout, the request goes into a queue. The designer makes the change, re-exports, and re-configures. What should be a five-minute tweak becomes a multi-day process. For fast-moving campaigns, this delay is a real cost.
What the Template Editor Offers
The Adbot Template Editor is a visual design environment that runs entirely in your browser. Open any template, see every element on a canvas, and make changes with direct manipulation. Drag elements to reposition them. Resize with handles. Set animations from a properties panel. Preview the result instantly — no rendering wait, no export-import cycle.
Key Capabilities
- Layer management — arrange text, images, shapes, and video layers with precise z-ordering
- Animation controls — set entrance, emphasis, and exit animations with visual timeline
- Brand presets — save and apply color schemes, font combinations, and spacing rules
- Responsive preview — see how your template looks across all output formats simultaneously
Layers and Composition
Every element in a template is a layer. The editor displays layers in a panel similar to professional design tools, letting you select, reorder, lock, and group elements. Click any layer to see its properties: position, size, rotation, opacity, and animation settings. Changes are reflected on the canvas in real time.
Animation Timeline
Animations are configured through a visual timeline at the bottom of the editor. Each layer has a timeline track showing when it enters, how long it displays, and when it exits. Drag the edges of timeline blocks to adjust timing. Select animation types from a curated library — fade, slide, scale, blur, and more. Preview the full animation sequence with a single click.
Real-Time Visual EditingBrand Presets
Brand presets capture your organization's visual standards in a reusable package. Define your primary and secondary colors, heading and body fonts, standard margins, and logo placement rules. Apply a preset to any template and every element updates to match. When brand guidelines change, update the preset once and every linked template reflects the change.
Beta Access and Roadmap
The Template Editor is available in beta starting today. All Adbot users can access it from the template management section of their dashboard. During the beta period, the editor supports single-scene templates with text, image, shape, and solid-color background layers. Video layer editing and multi-scene templates are planned for the next release phase.
Feedback from beta users directly shapes the development roadmap. Feature requests and bug reports submitted through the editor's built-in feedback tool receive priority review from the product team.
Open the Template Editor
Navigate to Templates in your Adbot dashboard and click "Edit" on any template. The visual editor opens in a new tab — no downloads, no plugins, no setup.
